Mamata Says No To School/Cinema, Yes To Salons, Spas

 The West Bengal government has announced lockdown-like

measures to contain Covid-19 and Omicron spread in the state.

All schools, colleges, universities, spas, salons, beauty parlours, zoos, and
entertainment parks to be closed in the state from tomorrow,

January 3, said West Bengal Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi. All government and private offices to operate at 50% capacity,
all administrative meetings to be conducted via virtual mode, Dwivedi added. The police are asked to conduct a thorough screening at all entry points
of the state to keep any infectious cases out of the state.

The virtual meetings will be held through Zoom or Webex.
The Chief Secretary also urged the people of the state to not panic and
continue their normal daily activities under the supervision of local authorities.
